NOTE: This table is for reference only for the benefit of players more familiar with Non-Metric systems. Players must calculate their character's mass and weight in metric as per the rules!

Special Characters

Alternatively...

  1. Look up a symbol/character here.
  2. Copy and paste the 'entity name' strip leading "&" and trailing";" into your post.
  3. Highlight the entity name and click the "char" button to wrap it in BBcode.

Example:
The symbol "¥" has an entity name of "¥"
Strip the leading "&" and the trailing ":" leaves an entity name of just "yen"
Wrap it with the special character BBcode...
Code: Select all
[char]yen[/char]

Visibility By SIZ.png

Chance to spot an object in visible range may require a successful Perception roll.

Level of Observable Detail By % of Max. Visibility
  1. ≥100% = Object is visible, but outline, colour and details are not discernable
  2. ≥80% = Object approximate outline can be observed, without colour, but remaining detail is blurred
  3. ≥60% = Object outline can be clearly observed with some colour, but remaining detail is blurred
  4. ≥40% = Object can be clearly observed in detail & colour, but with a loss of fine detail
  5. ≥20% = Object can be clearly observed in detail & colour (eg: face colour, weapons, hair length etc)

For each increase in difficulty grade of the Perception roll, the observer may increase the level of observable detail by 1 level.

Example
A SIZ 14 object visible at 500m with a successful Standard Perception roll would appear to be a 'man-sized object' (detail level 1). However, if a successful Difficult Perception roll was made, more detail would be observable and the approximate outline of a man/woman at 500m would be observed (detail level 2). If a Formidable Perception roll was passed, the clear outline of a man and perhaps the colour of his shield or cloak (detail level 3). Passing a Herculean Perception roll, the outline of a man and his weapons/gear would be observable and the colour of his shield and clothing (detail level 4).
